How we price garage door work.
No published price list is honest for every door, so here is how it works: repairs are priced on the spot in one visit, new doors and major projects get a written quote, and either way you approve the number before work starts.
Three things you can count on.
Repairs are priced on the spot
The technician inspects the whole door and gives you the price right there. You approve it, the repair starts, and nothing gets added without another conversation. There is no separate estimate visit for a service call.
Options when there are options
Repair versus replace, standard versus upgraded parts. You see the numbers side by side and decide.
No commission
Our technicians are not paid a percentage of the ticket. The person pricing your door has no reason to inflate it.

| Opener repair | Diagnosed on site. We price the specific fix (gear kit, sensors, logic board, trolley) and compare it to a new unit so you can choose. |
| New opener | Priced by model: chain drive, belt drive, or wall mount, with or without battery backup and smart control. Removal of the old unit included. |
| Panel replacement | Priced by the panel, subject to availability from the manufacturer. If the door is discontinued, we tell you before ordering. |
| New residential door | Priced by size, construction, insulation, windows, and hardware. Removal and haul off of the old door included. Free on site measurement. |
| Commercial doors | Quoted per opening after a site visit. Preventive maintenance contracts available for multi-door facilities. |
| Emergency and after hours | The work is priced the same. After hours calls carry an additional charge that we state on the phone before dispatching. |
How to spot a padded quote.
National chains have turned garage door repair into a sales process. Here is what to watch for.
- Springs quoted in the four figures. Premium "lifetime" spring packages priced at $500 to $1,500 or more are a common upsell. A quality spring replacement should not cost that.
- A technician who wants to replace everything. Rollers, cables, bearings, and drums on a five year old door rarely all need replacing at once.
- Monthly membership plans. A subscription for annual maintenance is a recurring charge for something you can simply schedule once a year.
- Pricing kept secret until the "free inspection." We will tell you on the phone how a job is priced before anyone comes out. If a company will not, ask why.
- Same day pressure. Any quote worth accepting will still be good tomorrow. If you want a second opinion, send us the quote.
