What we collect
When you call, email, or send a form on this site, we collect what you give us: name, phone number, email address, service address, and details about your door. When you send a form, our server also records the date and time, the page you sent it from, your internet address, and your browser type. That is used to stop automated abuse of the form and to trace a request if something goes wrong. A form also carries how you reached us: the tags on the link you clicked from an advertisement or a listing, the site you came from, and the first page you landed on. That is how we tell which listings and advertisements are worth paying for. It is kept with your request and is not shared, and our website sets only the cookies described below.
Job applications
When you apply for a job on our careers page, we collect what you give us: name, phone number, email address, the position you want, when you could start, what you tell us about your experience, and any documents you attach. The same server details are recorded as for a service request. An application goes by email to the people at the shop who do the hiring and is kept on our own web server; it is not put in the customer lead list. We keep applications for one year in case another opening comes up, then delete them, or sooner if you ask. They are not shared with anyone outside the company.
How we count visits
We count visits three ways. Cloudflare Web Analytics records the page looked at, the site the visit came from, the country, and the kind of device. It sets no cookie, it does not build a profile of you, and it cannot follow you to any other website. Google Analytics records the same kind of thing in more detail. Unlike the Cloudflare count it does set cookies in your browser, so a returning visit can be told apart from a new one, and Google may use what it collects to measure the advertising we buy from them. Ahrefs Web Analytics records the page looked at and where the visit came from, so we can see which searches bring people here. It sets no cookie and does not follow you to any other website. We do not sell, rent, or trade any of it.
How we use it
To call you back, schedule and perform the work, send quotes and invoices, follow up on the job, and ask for a review if you are willing. If you applied for a job, to consider you for it. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
Where it goes
A web request is stored on our own web server, delivered to the shop by email through an email delivery service, and shown to our staff in a private lead list that only they can sign in to. Our staff and the software we use to schedule and invoice see it. Manufacturers receive only what is needed to register a warranty. Our web host keeps ordinary server logs, which include internet addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it to service your door and keep our business records. You can ask for it to be removed sooner.
