What counts as an emergency
Some things can wait for morning. These cannot.
A door stuck open is a security problem. A door stuck shut with the only car inside is a getting-to-work problem. A door off its track is a safety problem, especially with kids or pets in the garage. Those are the calls we take at any hour.
A noisy door, a remote that needs programming, or a door that is a little slow can usually wait for a regular appointment at the regular rate. We will tell you honestly which one you have.

- Unplug the opener. Do not keep pushing the button. A motor fighting a jammed door can bend the door or strip the opener.
- Keep people and pets away. An off-track door or a door with a broken spring can move suddenly.
- Do not force the door. Pulling on a jammed door or lifting a door with a broken spring is how people get hurt.

When you call after hours we ask what the door is doing, tell you the after-hours rate, and give you a real arrival window. You decide whether to have us come tonight or first thing in the morning. The repair itself works like any service call: the technician diagnoses the door, gives you the price on the spot, and you approve it before the work starts.

Do you really answer 24 hours a day?
Yes. Both shop numbers forward to our on-call team after hours. If we miss you, leave a message with your name and what the door is doing and we call back.
Is there an after-hours charge?
Yes, and we tell you what it is before we drive out. If the problem can wait until morning we will say so and you pay the regular rate.
How fast can you get to me?
It depends on where you are and where our on-call technician is. We give you an honest window on the phone rather than a promise we cannot keep.
Can you get my car out even if you cannot fix the door tonight?
Almost always. Getting the door open safely and secured is the first priority. Parts that have to be ordered can follow.
