Common repairs

If the door is doing this, call us.

A garage door is the largest moving object in most homes and it cycles thousands of times a year in Louisiana heat and humidity. Parts wear out. The good news is that almost every problem below is a repair, not a replacement.

We stock rollers, cables, hinges, bottom brackets, bearing plates, weather seal, and struts on every truck, so the technician who diagnoses your door can usually fix it on the spot.

What we fix

  • Door off track or hanging crooked
  • Broken or frayed cables
  • Cracked, bent, or dented panels
  • Worn, noisy, or seized rollers
  • Bent tracks and loose hinges
  • Door reverses or will not close
  • Bottom seal and weather stripping
  • Struts for sagging wide doors

What moves the price

Straight talk on cost.

Repair pricing depends on the parts and the door, not on how the technician is feeling that day. Here is what actually changes the number.

For repairs, the technician gives you the price on site before starting, and that price is the bill. New doors and major projects get a written quote. If you have a price from another company, send it to us and we will tell you honestly whether it is fair.

How our pricing works
FactorWhy it matters
Parts neededRollers and hinges are inexpensive. A full panel or a set of cables costs more, and we tell you which before we start.
Door size and typeDouble doors and heavy wood or insulated doors take more time and heavier hardware.
Root causeA door off track is usually a symptom. We find the reason (a snapped cable, a bad roller, a hit from a bumper) so it does not happen again.
TimingRegular hours are the least expensive. After-hours emergency calls are priced up front, before we drive out.
FAQ

Questions we hear every week

Can you repair a door another company installed?

Yes. We service all brands, including doors and openers from big-box stores and doors installed by companies that are no longer around.

My door is off track. Can I just push it back on?

Please do not. An off-track door with the cables still under tension can drop or spring back. Unplug the opener, leave the door where it is, and call us.

How long does a typical repair take?

Most single-issue repairs, including cables, rollers, and hinges, take one to two hours. Panel replacement depends on parts availability for your door model.

Do you repair wood and custom doors?

Yes. We work on steel, aluminum, wood, and full-view glass doors, residential and commercial.

Will you try to sell me a new door?

Only if a repair does not make sense, and we will show you why. Our technicians are not paid on commission.
